From 13 to 17 September, the Palace of Arts and more than 40 locations in Lviv embraced the 24th Publishers’ Forum. For 5 days, Lviv residents and guests of the city had an opportunity to visit more than 900 cultural and educational events.
The printing house "Factor Druk" traditionally took part in this event. The chief technologist of our printing house and the head of the prepress department participated in the events of the Forum.
Activities in different locations of Lviv gathered readers for discussions, round tables and meetings with authors. This created an impression that the whole city those days became the Publishers’ Forum. The events of the Forum were divided according to the principle that has proved itself over the past few years: 14 thematic sections were waiting for visitors (Education, Creative industries + Urban studies, Business, Woman, Human rights, Lifestyle, Languages/Translations, etc.).
According to the organizers of the Forum, the main goal of the festival is to create a platform for communication, which in the future will lead to "the birth of entirely new perspectives."
Nowadays, Publishers’ Forum is a significant event for the professional community. This year, the Forum gathered 168 publishing houses; more than 1000 authors, artists and cultural figures from 25 countries visited it. A huge number of visitors, long queues at autograph sessions and meetings with writers prove that Ukrainian literature is developing. It becomes more popular among Ukrainians year by year.
